Buchanan shareholder Michael Engle, who is part of the Firm’s White Collar Defense, Compliance & Investigations section, taught a CLE session at the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers on October 4, 2019. In the session, entitled “Hazing Cases: Criminal and Civil Liability Issues for Individuals and Institutions”, he discussed prosecution and defense strategies used when hazing allegations arise, as well as the Fifth Amendment and insurance coverage implications of hazing cases.
