DESCRIPTION:

We have an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh office for an associate with 4 - 7 years of experience in labor and employment to join the Firm’s thriving labor and employment practice. This position will provide challenging and interesting legal assignments through significant contact with clients within a fast-paced, team-focused environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and manage their own caseload, and first-rate research and drafting skills. The candidate should also have the ability to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.  Candidates must be admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION:

We have an immediate opening for a patent agent with a Ph.D. in the Biotech/Chemistry field.  This position requires the ability to think critically, to quickly understand new technologies and to write well.  Candidates will preferably have some patent drafting and prosecution experience.  Responsibilities will include drafting patent applications and prosecution of patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and patent offices around the world.  Candidates must already be registered to practice before the USPTO or be willing to sit for the registration exam.  All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter, resume and college transcript(s).

WEALTH SUCCESSION PLANNING ATTORNEY
(Miami or Tampa)

LEVEL:

DESCRIPTION:

We have an immediate opening in our Miami or Tampa office for a Wealth Succession Attorney with experience in Florida Tax and Estate Planning.  The Tax Practice Group is looking for candidates that have experience working with high net worth individuals on intricate estate planning matters that help the transition process of clients’ financial and business affairs.  Skills should include identifying and implementing tax-effective means of transferring wealth to beneficiaries, whether during life or after death, including advising on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfers and fiduciary income considerations and drafting of related documents.  Additionally, it is required that the candidate have a knowledge of closely-held businesses, including succession planning (from identifying the successor business leaders to reorganizing businesses to facilitate succession to effecting the actual transfer of ownership).  This candidate should also have experience with business tax issues that arise in the context of succession planning – Business Tax experience is preferred.  The position requires a J.D. from an accredited law school and four to eight years’ experience as an associate attorney.   It is preferred that the candidate also have a LL.M. in Tax.

We have an immediate opening in our Washington, DC office for an associate with 3-4 years of experience handling international trade matters including antidumping and countervailing duty investigations before both the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission. Candidates with strong experience in regard to antidumping investigations before the Department of Commerce, including questionnaire response analysis, are preferred. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong research and writing skills and be admitted to practice in Washington, DC.

DESCRIPTION:

We have an immediate opening in our Washington, DC office for an associate lawyer or analyst with 4 years or more of experience handling antidumping and countervailing duty investigations before both the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission. Candidates should have strong experience with antidumping investigations before the Department of Commerce, including questionnaire response analysis.  JDs preferred, but we are also willing to consider non-JDs with the appropriate experience.  Candidates must have excellent academic credentials along with strong research and writing skills.  Attorney candidates must be admitted to practice in Washington, DC or be eligible to waive in.

We have an immediate opening in our Washington, DC office for an associate with 3-5 years of experience handling matters involving export controls/economic sanctions.  Candidates should have strong experience with one or more of the following: OFAC sanctions, the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong research and writing skills and be admitted to practice in Washington, DC.
