A collaborative team of Buchanan attorneys across multiple disciplines, spearheaded by the firm’s Corporate group, came to the table to achieve a retail client’s goals in a large private transaction. Mary Ann Dunham and Meghan Foyle led a team of attorneys across nine practice groups in the sale of Levin Furniture and its 35 stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio to Art Van Furniture.

Levin is a near 100-year-old retail furniture icon in Western Pennsylvania. Buchanan worked closely with Robert Levin, the third-generation owner of the family business, and his financial advisors, Schneider Downs Corporate Finance, to achieve Robert’s goals for both his company and the surrounding communities. In negotiating the transaction, Buchanan yet again demonstrated the breath of its talent and two of the fundamental hallmarks of its mergers and acquisitions practice – teamwork and creative practical advice.
