How Sarah Helps Clients
Prior to joining the firm full time, Sarah spent two summers as a Summer Associate with Buchanan. As a Summer Associate, she conducted research and drafted memoranda on a variety of legal issues, including transfer of intellectual property interests in bankruptcy, attorney-client privilege in internal investigations, bifurcation of liability and damages at trial, and enforceability of foreign judgments. During law school, Sarah worked for Neighborhood Legal Services, where she assisted indigent clients in bankruptcy proceedings. Sarah was a 1L Scholar for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, Lead Articles Editor for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law Journal of Law and Commerce, a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, and recipient of the CALI Award in her Commercial Transactions class.
Before returning to Pittsburgh, her hometown, to pursue a law degree, Sarah lived in Seoul, South Korea, where she taught English as a Second Language and in Paris, France. While in Paris, she received a Master of the Arts in Global Communications at the American University of Paris and worked in marketing at both an international advertising agency and a SaaS startup incubator.
