How Lauren Helps Clients
Lauren V. Humphries is an experienced trial attorney in Florida state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment and labor claims, disputes between lenders and borrowers, product liability actions, and claims involving toxic torts such as asbestos or carbon monoxide. Lauren has experience representing design professionals in malpractice actions. She also represents small businesses in issues that arise in their operations.
During law school, Lauren served as President of the Law Association for Women, Vice President of the Trial Team, Chair of the Honor Court and was selected by UF law faculty to interview U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in an all-campus event. Upon graduation, she was awarded “Outstanding Graduate” for the trial advocacy program.
Lauren learned the value of pro bono representation when she advocated for sheltered children in Florida’s foster care system as a Guardian ad Litem. She also works with several Tampa charities that provide mentoring, financial literacy and stable educational/home environments for at-risk youth.

Outside the Office
Lauren loves living in Florida. Born and raised in Tampa, she enjoys playing soccer, kayaking, and spending time with her friends and family. Lauren is an avid SCUBA diver, who advocates for marine conservation and protection of Florida’s natural springs.
