How Emily Helps Clients
Emily is an associate in the firm’s Tax Section, primarily serving the Wealth & Succession Planning Group. Emily concentrates her practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and probate litigation. She enjoys tackling the unique and often complex legal issues that arise in the trusts and estates field.
Emily counsels high-net-worth individuals and families on creating and implementing sophisticated estate plans designed to increase, maintain, and transfer wealth in accordance with each client's unique needs and wishes. She prepares a wide range of estate and tax planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. An important part of Emily’s practice is estate planning for LGBTQ+ individuals.
Emily also advises fiduciaries, trustees, and family members in the administration and settlement of trusts and estates. She helps her clients navigate the estate administration process, which can include probate court proceedings and preparation of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
Emily was recognized by Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in 2021, 2022, and 2023 in the area of Trusts and Estates. Additionally, she was named to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2020 to 2022.

When off the clock, Emily can be found questing for Tex-Mex food, advocating for the Oxford comma, and cheering for the Dallas Mavericks.
