PITTSBURGH (July 2025) – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is pleased to announce its Corporate Share Program partners for 2025. The program pairs the firm’s summer associates with private company partners for a short-term secondment. This year, Buchanan added Syngenta and Mr. Beast as corporate partners, in addition to the returning companies, including ADP, Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital One, Hershey, PNC Bank, South Jersey Industries, Quality Carriers and UPMC.

“Our summer associate program is integral to our commitment to developing the next generation of legal talent. The Corporate Share Program offers them an experience that showcases the collaboration, mentorship, and client service we value as a firm,” said Jim Newell, Chairman and CEO. “We have a responsibility to the next generation of lawyers to ensure they’ve been exposed to practice experiences necessary to develop into accomplished professionals.”

“We look forward to the Corporate Share Program every year, and we are grateful to our incredible corporate partners who offer meaningful opportunities to our summer associate class.” said Lloyd Freeman, Chief Experience Officer. “The program allows each summer associate to have a deeper understanding of how to build and sustain client relationships. It gives them an inside look to how corporate legal departments operate, and it better prepares them for serving clients during their careers. It is a valuable experience for both our summer associates and the corporate partners who become active mentors for the students as they progress in their careers.”

First launched in 2021 as a supplement to the firm’s summer associate program, the Corporate Share Program allows each law school student to be paired with a participating corporate partner for a one to four-week period where they receive assignments from in-house legal teams. The program was designed to give students a holistic view of the legal profession, allow them to interact directly with general counsels and in-house practitioners, and provide them with unique mentorship opportunities.

“The Corporate Share Program continues to differentiate our summer associate experience,” said Danielle Rosetti, Chief Talent Officer. “The law students gain an incredible experience often reserved for much more senior practitioners by spending time in the trenches with our corporate partners and learning directly from in-house counsel. It enhances their professional development and showcases our commitment to client service.”

Buchanan’s ten-week summer associate program offers students a robust mix of training. They engage directly with firm attorneys on various legal projects, participate in a comprehensive one-day training held at Buchanan’s flagship office in Pittsburgh that includes an advanced writing seminar, a professional etiquette program, an in-depth explanation on the business of a law firm and social events with built-in networking opportunities. The summer associates have exclusive one-on-one sessions with members of firm leadership, and benefit from numerous other tailored professional development initiatives.
