WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 3, 2021 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney welcomes John Muir, shareholder, to the firm’s Real Estate practice. Muir advises clients on real estate investments, joint ventures and commercial financing transactions and routinely works with institutional private equity funds on individual and programmatic debt and equity investments. He also represents national and international lenders in senior and mezzanine acquisition, construction and bridge loans, and refinancing of all real estate asset types across the country.

He graduated from Vanderbilt University and received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Muir also serves as a Board Member and as pro bono outside counsel for DC SAFE (Survivors and Advocates for Empowerment), a non-profit organization that provides shelter and a comprehensive, coordinated network of care to survivors of domestic violence.
