Pittsburgh, PA – November 12, 2012 Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced today that shareholders Kevin P. Lucas and Gretchen L. Jankowski have been named co-chairs of the firm’s Pittsburgh Litigation practice. The move, which comes just months after the addition of the seven Manion McDonough & Lucas lawyers, furthers the firm’s longstanding commitment to delivering top-notch litigation services to clients in Western Pennsylvania. The MML firm for more than two decades has been one of Pittsburgh’s best known and most respected litigation and business practice boutique law firms.

Buchanan’s Litigation Section makes up about a quarter of the firm’s overall headcount of more than 450 lawyers and government relations professionals spread throughout its 14 office locations. More than 60 lawyers, paralegals and specialists in the firm’s Pittsburgh office focus their practice on litigation.

Gretchen L. Jankowski is a highly-regarded first-chair trial lawyer who has successfully litigated a wide variety of business disputes in state and federal courts across the country and in arbitration. Her practice areas span from franchise law to disputes ranging from antitrust and unfair competitor/trade secrets to intellectual property and corporate governance. She has served in several leadership roles and has been active in a number of Litigation practice initiatives since joining Buchanan more than 14 years ago.

Jankowski received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore, and her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from University of Pittsburgh.
