On May 12, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Shareholder Jill M. Lashay will present at the PA Council for Children, Youth & Family Services Webinar. Her presentation titled, “Fair Labor Standards Act: What Every Member Agency Needs to Know,” will provide an update on the Fair Labor Standards Act, including a review of recent court decisions and the Executive Order recently issued by President Obama. This update will address several topics of concern to member agencies, such as: classification of social workers, case managers, caseworkers and other employees; avoiding the risks of audit findings going back over three years; modifying current classifications to be in compliance, and advising member agencies how to be compliant in the current environment, with job descriptions under great scrutiny.
