What has been your proudest career moment and your biggest hurdle?

My biggest hurdle was probably winning an appeal as a newly minted lawyer. My proudest career moment was obtaining a great result for a pro bono client. She was a minor who needed to obtain a Special Immigrant Juvenile Status to stay in the U.S. Despite challenge odds, we were able to make that happen for her.

What professional lessons have you learned from the coronavirus pandemic?

There have been many professional pandemic lessons, but one that has been constant, is the need to remain flexible at all times. Responding to substantial change and remaining adaptable is a skill and I have taken our current situation and its numerous challenges as an opportunity to hone that skill.
