How Nick Helps Clients
Nick guides business clients through their most complex employment matters. As a seasoned litigator, Nick is a fierce advocate for his clients in the courtroom. He regularly handles claims across the country related to breach of contract, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, intellectual property protection and high-profile employment discrimination matters. In particular, Nick often represents employers in injunction litigation, which requires nimble and creative advocacy in fast-paced and time-sensitive proceedings.
As a counselor, Nick routinely advises clients on labor and employment compliance and regulatory matters to give them a competitive edge in the marketplace. Clients turn to Nick with their most challenging workforce compliance issues, often in the context of sophisticated transactions, major policy implementations, and layoffs. Nick crafts strategies for clients that meet their compliance and regulatory obligations while simultaneously advancing the most favorable business outcome.
Recognized by his peers for exceptional work on behalf of his clients, Nick was named a Lawyer on the Fast Track by The Legal Intelligencer in 2017, has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer – Rising Star every year since 2015, and was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch 2023 and 2024.
Nick serves as the Chair of Buchanan’s PRIDE Affinity Group (Promoting Respect, Inclusion and Diversity for all Employees), which is the firm’s affinity group for employees who identify as LGBTQ and allies. In connection with this leadership role, Nick also sits on Buchanan’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, which is tasked with recommending policies, programs and initiatives designed to enhance diversity and inclusion
throughout the firm and in our communities.
Prior to entering private practice, Nick served as a law clerk to Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
