Joseph I. Roadarmel is a legal assistant who focuses on real estate title examination, abstracting and report preparation with particular emphasis on researching ownership and title of surface, oil and gas, coal and mineral rights and identifying defects. Though he is not admitted to the practice of law, Joseph has more than 25 years of experience in the legal industry and is a member of the firm’s Energy Section and Oil & Gas practice group.

Joseph serves as the project manager for the title certification program and serves as a team leader in large scale complex diligence projects, reporting to clients and coordinating the efforts of the abstractors/land service companies and the members of our title certification and diligence teams.

Prior to joining Buchanan, Joseph served as a supervising litigation and trial paralegal and real estate title abstractor for two mid-sized regional law firms. In those roles, Joseph provided litigation, technical and logistical support in products and commercial liability cases, arbitrations and trials. He managed and prepared document productions, including several in excess of 250,000 pages.

In conjunction with in-house IT departments, Joseph developed and implemented database to efficiently manage and produce client documents, maintain pleading repositories and firm expert files and 40,000 class-action and mass-tort cases. He has assisted in fact and expert witness development, prepared case summaries and case/client budget reports and internal and external litigation audits.
