Jayme is an attorney in Buchanan’s Litigation section, where he represents companies and individuals in a wide range of commercial and civil disputes.  His practice includes commercial litigation, construction law, consumer defense, and personal injury defense.  He regularly appears in both state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania, including the Middle and Eastern Districts, and has represented clients in arbitrations involving multi-million dollar claims.

Jayme’s experience includes breach of contract actions, business torts, construction defect claims, mechanics’ liens, debt collection and account recovery, breach of fiduciary duty cases, and defense of personal injury suits.  Whether representing a small family-owned business or a major institution, Jayme approaches every case with a practical mindset and a commitment to delivering results.

Raised on a working farm in Northeast Pennsylvania, Jayme learned early the value of hard work, grit, and getting the job done right.  He brings that same blue-collar mentality to his legal practice—rolling up his sleeves, showing up prepared, and tackling every challenge head-on.

Beyond his legal practice, Jayme co-chairs Buchanan’s A.S.C.E.N.D. Affinity Group, which promotes the success of first-generation students and professions within the firm and beyond.  He is passionate about mentorship, leadership, and creating pathways for others who, like him, are first in their families to navigate higher education and the legal profession.  

Outside the Office

Outside the office, Jayme spends most of this time with his wife and three kids—usually at local parks or working on home improvement projects.  He’s an avid golfer and home cook who appreciates any chance to get outside or work with his hands.  A dedicated Philadelphia sports fan, Jayme regularly makes his way down Broad Street for a tailgate, a game, or a concert.  He is a loyal supporter of the two-time Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Proof Points

• Obtained $8 million settlement in lender liability lawsuit brought by a bankruptcy trustee against the debtor’s former lender during construction of a residential condominium community.
• Recovered $2.05 million arbitration award in lawsuit arising from breach of a primary purchase and distribution agreement.
• Obtained $1 million settlement in lawsuit arising from a software company officer’s breach of contract, duty of loyalty and fiduciary duties.
• Negotiated millions of dollars in settlements of claims arising from allegations of negligence in a variety of corporate and blue-collar settings.  
• In law school, won the Regional Championship of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and named by the International Law Student Association as a Top-10 Oral Advocate in the United States.
