Richard Montes de Oca, shareholder in the firm’s Corporate section and International Business Transactions and Compliance practice group leader and Chair of the Florida Bar International Law Section (ILS), will be moderating the Closing Panel: The International General Counsel SWOT  (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of iLaw2024: The ILS Global Forum on International Law on Feb. 16 at the JW Marriott Marquis in Downtown Miami. The panelists will include Augusto Aragone, General Counsel, Ingram Micro; Ines Bahachille, Chief Counsel, North America, Mondelez; Michael Gabel, General Counsel, FedEx Logistics; Willie Hernandez, General Counsel, International, The Coca-Cola-Company; and Effie Silva, General Counsel, Fresh Del Monte.

Michael McLaughlin, principal and Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice group leader, will be moderating iLaw2024's Opening Panel: 2024 Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trends: U.S., International and Cross-Border Rules, Compliance, Best Practices and Enforcement. This panel will explore the current risks and pressing challenges faced by global organizations, including the implications of data localization, cross-border data transfers, and the adoption of international cloud-based services.  The presenters will also discuss security strategies, emerging technology trends, and anticipated major risks in cybersecurity and data privacy for 2024 and beyond.
