David’s practice is focused on trademark, copyright and media law with particularly deep experience in the fashion, retail, interactive entertainment, television, and financial services industries.

For over 15 years, David has assisted both mature and emerging companies on all aspects of brand development from inception through international expansion and beyond. Key areas of experience include strategic domestic and international trademark clearance and prosecution, brand development and protection, global trademark portfolio management, trademark and copyright enforcement and litigation, intellectual property licensing agreements and due diligence, domain name dispute resolution, intellectual property issues arising on the Internet and in social media, as well as pre-publication media review.

Anti-Counterfeiting

David works with apparel clients and others in the anti-counterfeiting space, focusing on areas such as customs recordal, investigation and product acquisition, and trademark enforcement. He coordinates international efforts with a special focus in China.

With a background in computer science and English literature, David has a deep-rooted interest in the intersection of technology, media and the law.
