Washington, D.C., October 23, 2008 — Patricia R. Lesser, a senior attorney in the Tax practice at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Washington, D.C., office, has been appointed to the Finance Committee of International Fiscal Association (IFA).

IFA is the premier international association of tax professionals, headquartered in The Netherlands.  The three-member Finance Committee advises the General Treasurer with respect to IFA's financial statements, its budgets for the upcoming years and any issues of financial interest to the organization.
Lesser's new position is with the central branch of IFA. She is also a member of the Council of the USA Branch of IFA.

Its objectives include the study and advancement of international and comparative law in regard to public finance, specifically international and comparative fiscal law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation.
