Cultural Reflections: Korean American Representation in Leadership and Media
In honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we hosted a panel discussion titled, Cultural Reflections: Korean American Representation in Leadership and Media. This discussion featured Patricia Liu, a distinguished Korean American author, entrepreneur, and media executive who immigrated to the United States from Seoul in 1976. As the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Best of Korea, the most comprehensive media platform dedicated to celebrating Korean culture, entertainment, lifestyle, and achievements, Patricia brings invaluable insights into the importance of representation in both business and media.
With a focus on the Korean American diaspora, her work serves an international audience, highlighting the richness of Korean heritage and its impact on American culture. This event explored critical topics such as Asian American representation in leadership roles and the influence of Asian American narratives in media, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of these pressing issues.
The discussion was moderated by Lloyd Freeman, who guided the conversation with Patricia on her career progression, her innovative projects, and her perspective on the evolving landscape of Asian American representation.
