Miami, FL, December 9, 2009 — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced today the addition of Jennifer Olmedo-Rodriguez to the firm's Litigation Section. As a returning associate to Buchanan's Miami office, Olmedo-Rodriguez will focus her practice on commercial litigation matters — an area for which the firm's South Florida offices have recently gained notable recognition.

Richard A. Morgan, Litigation shareholder and managing partner of the firm's Aventura and Miami offices, said, "We are thrilled to have Jennifer back on our team." He added, "We have been particularly busy in the area of developer representation, and Jennifer's background meshes perfectly with our litigation strengths."

Olmedo-Rodriguez has an extensive commercial litigation practice, which involves banking, UCC issues and construction-defect matters. She has litigated a variety of commercial contractual disputes including non-compete agreements, employment agreements and real property disputes.

Prior to returning to Buchanan, Jennifer was an associate with a boutique firm's Miami office. In that role she represented and counseled the consumer finance division of a Fortune 100 company with respect to its Hispanic language private label retail consumer and commercial credit card programs for compliance with various federal laws and regulations and provided legal review of Spanish language private label consumer and commercial credit card disclosures.
