Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Wins Litigation Department of the Year Award by Daily Business Review

Miami, FL – April 22, 2014 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is proud to announce that the Daily Business Review (DBR) has named the firm a winner of its Litigation Department of the Year award in the Real Estate category. Buchanan was one of four firms recognized for a particular practice strength in South Florida.

Buchanan’s Litigation team was specifically recognized for its efforts in handling the litigation that threatened the Dania Casino deal. Representing the buyer, Dania Entertainment Center LLC, Rick Morgan, the head of Buchanan’s Miami office, along with shareholders Matthew Feeley and Jennifer Olmedo-Rodriguez, overcame numerous procedural obstacles throughout 18 months of litigation, to close the deal in May of 2013. The large Dania Beach property, which opened in February, has a new owner and a remodeled facility, featuring a casino with slot machines, poker room, bistro, bar and a stage for musical shows.
