PITTSBURGH– June 1, 2021 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney proudly welcomes its largest and most diverse summer associate class, with all 14 students representing one or more underrepresented group. The students will complete their programs virtually, but will be working with attorneys in the firm’s Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Tampa offices.

Additionally, the firm is launching an inaugural component within the eight-week program, pairing each associate with several firm clients, as well as other corporations, for a two-week period for additional experience and mentorship opportunities. Companies participating in the Diversity Corporate Share Program include, PNC Bank, The Hershey Company, Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers, Raymond James, Panasonic, and South Jersey Industries among others.

“Our fully diverse 2021 class falls in line with our firm’s commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion and I’m thrilled to welcome this group to our Buchanan this summer,” said Lloyd Freeman, Buchanan’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. “As we continue to collaborate with notable businesses on D&I initiatives, we want to thank those companies who agreed to participate in our Diversity Corporate Share Program by virtually hosting them in their in-house legal departments to complement our robust program.”
