PHILADELPHIA – January 17, 2019 – Rafael M. Villalobos, Jr., a healthcare and litigation attorney, joins Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as counsel in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Villalobos brings with him nearly 30 years of trial, compliance and regulatory experience as outside counsel, and valuable in-house experience. “As the former chief legal counsel for a major hospital system, Raf has a deep understanding of the multifaceted regulatory and compliance landscape and operations of a healthcare system. He is able to utilize this experience to guide our clients regarding risk avoidance and complex, high-stakes litigation,” noted David L. Gordon, co-chair of Buchanan’s Litigation section. “Raf will be an incredible asset to our team.”

“We are thrilled that Raf has joined Buchanan. He offers practical, thorough counsel and advice combined with first-hand trial experience. As a former general counsel of a multihospital health system, he brings a unique perspective that will benefit our clients,” said Dale S. Webber, chair of Buchanan’s Healthcare section.

“As someone who has sat in the same seats as my clients, I understand their wants and needs and the complexity of their jobs. Buchanan provides me with the perfect platform to expand my practice and to proudly provide valuable services to the people and institutions we all turn to in our time of need,” added Villalobos.
