SAN DIEGO – April 2, 2020 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announces that Kimberly Arouh, shareholder in the Litigation section and the head of Buchanan’s San Diego office and Teresa M. Beck, of counsel in the litigation section and chair of California litigation, were named to the 2020 San Diego Super Lawyers list. David L. Plantz, associate in the banking and finance section, is named to the Rising Stars.

Arouh represents clients in complex litigation in a range of areas, including contract, employment, land use, eminent domain, construction and real estate litigation, water rights litigation, energy-related litigation, securities and derivative litigation, class actions, antitrust litigation and merger and acquisition litigation. Arouh serves on the firm's Electronic Discovery Committee and Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is active in the community and local bar organizations, including the Forum For Executive Women, the American Inns of Court, Louis M. Welsh Inn and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce

Beck has litigated and supervised the litigation of hundreds of civil cases. She represents a wide variety of clients, including small and large businesses, non-profits, governmental entities, senior care centers, grocery chains, parking management companies, developers, law firms, insurance companies and individuals. As a board member with the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations, she co-created the nationally known GOOD Guys program, a cutting-edge curriculum designed to engage male leadership in diversity and inclusion to ensure businesses are benefiting from all of the financial and motivational rewards of diversity and inclusion.

Plantz helps institutional lenders negotiate and document credit facilities secured by commercial real estate and assists his clients in navigating the related finance and real estate issues. His typical transactions range from $15-200 million and span the breadth of the United States. He also represents national and international financial institutions in the documentation of both syndicated and bilateral asset-based and credit-based financing transactions.
