HARRISBURG (October 2023) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s government relations section continues to grow with the addition of Beth Rosentel. She joins the firm as a senior advisor in the Harrisburg office.

Rosentel joins Buchanan following a lengthy career with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Well-known throughout the halls of the Capitol, she is an expert facilitator and strives to build consensus and generate solutions. She brings with her policy areas of expertise in consumer protection, public utilities, and energy.

“Beth is a recognized leader in Harrisburg, and her skillset brings enhanced value for our clients in Pennsylvania,” said Leslie Gromis Baker, managing director of state and federal government relations at Buchanan. “With her experience and relationships, she will help clients navigate the legislative landscape and strategize with them to meet their goals."

During her 21-year tenure with the legislature, she served as the Executive Director of the House Consumer Affairs Committee. In that role, she oversaw the development of legislation in the areas of public utilities, telecommunications, broadband, infrastructure, energy policy, consumer protection, privacy and unfair trade practices. She also led the daily operations of the committee. In addition to her roles in the House Consumer Affairs Committee, she previously served the Legislative Research Office and former Governor Rendell’s Transition team.

“I am thrilled to join Buchanan’s state government relations team,” said Rosentel. “With the firm’s deep roots in Harrisburg and across the Commonwealth, I knew it was the right place for me. I look forward to working with clients in key industries to develop more opportunities for them in Pennsylvania.”

Rosentel holds a bachelor's degree in communications and political science from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
