Eric J. Holshouser has been named Jacksonville’s Employment Law – Management Lawyer of the Year.  Mr. Holshouser practices all aspects of labor and employment law, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, health and safety, employee benefits, non-compete, trade secret and wrongful discharge law, as well as legal matters involving union-company relations.  Mr. Holshouser has also represented employers in both state and federal court in the areas of labor relations, discrimination, non-compete enforcement, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, breach of contract and fraud.  Mr. Holshouser is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar and he is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Carl R. Nelson has been named Tampa’s Admiralty & Maritime Law Lawyer of the Year.  Board Certified in Admiralty and Maritime Law by The Florida Bar, Mr. Nelson has extensive experience litigating admiralty and maritime law cases involving environmental protection laws (including class actions), collisions, cargo damage, injury and death, charter party disputes, insurance coverage issues, salvage claims, mortgage foreclosures, and considered an expert in admiralty limitation of liability actions.  He headed the firm's legal team in the litigation arising out of the 1993 Tampa Bay oil spill and argued numerous appeals.  In addition, he has experience in commercial litigation, including defense of class actions and qui tam proceedings, representation of Receivers in SEC enforcement actions, and representation of insurers on business practices and coverage issues. 

Lawrence M. Ploucha has been named Miami’s Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law Lawyer of the Year.  Mr. Ploucha is widely recognized for his knowledge of employee benefits, estate planning, tax law and business issues.  He counsels clients in a wide range of financial-related matters and has more than 30 years of experience working with shareholders, professional firms, closely held businesses, individuals and families.  His understanding of employee benefits, taxes and estate planning allows him to develop effective, integrated planning strategies for executives and professionals, such as attorneys, accountants and physicians.

Robert G. Riegel, Jr. has been named Jacksonville’s Litigation – Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year.  Mr. Riegel is a Florida Bar Board Certified Labor and Employment Lawyer who brings more than 30 years of experience representing management clients in the full range of employment law, specializing in litigation matters.  He advises and provides preventive counseling to clients on a wide range of issues affecting the employment relationship, including EEO issues, wage and hour issues, employee handbooks, employee benefits, personnel policies, reductions in force, affirmative action obligations, and strategies for employee discipline and termination. In addition, he also handles matters involving unions (including NLRA litigation and arbitrations), Family and Medical Leave Act, sexual and other forms of harassment, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and restrictive covenants (such as non-compete provisions). He is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Richard G. Salazar has been named Tampa’s Litigation – Patent Lawyer of the Year.  His practice includes litigation in antitrust, business tort, non-competition covenant, trademark/service mark infringement, copyright infringement, trade secret and unfair competition claims in federal and state courts.  Mr. Salazar is AV peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
