On August 31, Buchanan will be hosting a one-hour hybrid CLE presentation where attorneys from the Labor & Employment and Healthcare sections will discuss the decisions that often need to be made by healthcare employers when hiring. The program will cover the following topics:
Comparison of recruitment loans, signing bonuses and retention bonuses to attract and retain healthcare workers.
Development of incentive compensation plans with forfeiture provisions, restrictive covenants, and liquidated damages provisions.
Employment agreements with notice provisions, liquidated damages, and restrictive covenants.
Methods for recovery of payments from employees.
Unique healthcare issues, including compliance with Stark and Anti-Kickback laws for physicians.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit (1.0 general credit) is approved for California, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Credit for all other states is available upon request pending approval.
