How Tanya Helps Clients
Tanya C. Leshko brings over 20 years of background in government regulatory and business issues to focus on the practice of healthcare law. Her Commonwealth legal experience includes multiple assignments to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as well as stints in the Governor’s Office and as Chief Counsel of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
Tanya assists clients in navigating a broad range of administrative and regulatory matters, including licensure, compliance, and adverse actions by state and federal agencies, and provides pragmatic advice to ensure the offering of quality, safe services to patients. Her experience helps enable clients to formulate organizational structures that both pass regulatory scrutiny and facilitate regulatory compliance. She provides representation in administrative litigation before state and federal agencies in regard to compliance and enforcement issues, and has extensive experience in managing HIPAA compliance and in multiple aspects of information privacy. She also handles regulatory matters before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
Tanya has made presentations to professional and business organizations on numerous health-related legal topics including HIPAA, emergency preparedness for both public and private health entities, and the Commonwealth’s response to the opioid crisis.
She started her career at a large firm and lobbying group in Philadelphia, where her practice was focused on representing clients in electricity restructuring, telephony and transportation matters before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

Outside the Office
Tanya may occasionally be found performing on stage at area theatres. She enjoys yoga, running, hiking and cycling with her husband and their daughters, and is an enthusiastic but messy cook.
