Scott Richards is a member of the Financial Services Litigation Practice Group.  He handles admiralty/maritime matters, complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, health law litigation, and class action litigation, in state and federal courts.  Mr. Richards's admiralty practice has allowed him to work on maritime lien foreclosures, OPA issues, vessel sales, stowaway issues, and vessel insurance disputes.  With a civil engineering background and licensure, Mr. Richards spent several years working as a geotechnical lab technician and geotechnical engineer, thereby becoming intimately familiar with the practice and developing an understanding that only comes through experience.  In applying this experience, he is able to effectively communicate with construction industry professionals and has assisted with several construction litigation matters.  Additionally, Mr. Richards practices healthcare litigation representing hospitals and insurers in matters involving debt collection, consumer complaints, and the applicability of policies.
