How José Helps Clients

José represents corporations, investors and entrepreneurs in U.S. immigration and compliance matters. He counsels clients in the preparation and submission of applications before the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the U.S. State Department. He has represented companies in various industries, including professional services, pharmaceuticals, mining and aviation. José also represents clients in dealing with matters before the Department of Homeland Security, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issues.

Prior to joining Buchanan Ingersoll, José was a manager at a large multinational professional services firm, where he provided counsel on U.S. business immigration matters. José also previously worked for the U.S. State Department, where his duties included adjudicating the kinds of petitions with which he now assists clients.

What Clients Can Expect

José earned a B.A. in International Politics from New York University and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
