In his role as pricing director, J.R. oversees pricing management for the law firm and leads a team of experienced finance professionals. He is responsible for pricing strategies for the firm’s top clients, often collaborating and interacting with client contacts, procurement teams, and other client relationship managers directly.
J.R. develops economic models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and leads the development of creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client pricing requirements, including alternative fee arrangements. He also creates budgets for complex client matters. Additionally, J.R. and his team manage and monitor pricing trends and lead various projects in relation to client profitability and pricing initiatives.
He works closely with firm clients and shareholders to develop innovative, efficient and results-oriented solutions.
J.R. has nearly 15 years of experience in law firm financial operations. Prior to joining Buchanan, he managed pricing strategy and client management for an Am Law 10 law firm.
