On May 12 and 13, Patrick C. Keane, executive shareholder of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, helped to organize a conference of global dignitaries from Germany, China, Japan and the United States at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Federal Circuit Bar Association in Washington, D.C. While at the conference, Keane moderated a panel of international experts with regard to issues of transparency in intellectual property, international trade and commerce. He also participated on a panel summarizing best practices with regard to legal issues that impact innovation and international trade.

On May 14, Keane was invited on behalf of the Federal Circuit Bar Association to meet with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officials and the President of the German Federal Patent Court for a discussion of international intellectual property best practices.

In addition, Keane will help to organize conferences in Toronto this summer and in South Korea in the fall.
