Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Shareholder Philip L. Hirschhorn will moderate the New York City Bar's CLE, titled "Evolution of Patent Law in the Wake of AIA, Supreme Court Action and Federal Circuit Reaction," on Tuesday, May 19 from 6:15pm - 8:30pm.

The discussion will center on aspects of patent law evolution, including legislative changes and court-mandated changes in the face of legislative action. The discussion will include an analysis of the effects of recent Supreme Court cases (such as Teva v. Sandoz, Highmark v. Allcare Health Mgmt., Octane Fitness v. Icon Health and Fitness and Alice v. CLS Bank) and how past cases have affected current practice.

Hirschhorn is the chair of the Roundtable Subcommittee of the Patents Committee of the NYCBA.
