How Emily Helps Clients 

Emily Johnson is a litigation attorney in Buchanan’s Tampa office. As a summer associate at the firm, she conducted extensive legal research and contributed to pre-litigation efforts across multiple cases, helping to position clients for success. During law school, Emily gained significant litigation experience while working in a felony division of the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office - experience that has prepared her to advocate diligently on behalf of Buchanan’s clients. 

In addition to her legal training, Emily served as the Executive Online Editor of the Emory Law Journal. In that role, she authored a student comment and led a team responsible for publishing four online articles written by both students and professors. She looks forward to applying the advanced writing and editorial skills she developed through this position to support clients at Buchanan.

While a newer attorney, Emily brings a focused mindset and a warm, positive attitude to her legal representation that allows her to adapt quickly, learn on the go, and provide each client with dedicated, personalized support. 

Outside the Office 

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, her partner, and their orange cat Kevin. She loves to cook and watch movies to destress. She ran her first-ever half-marathon this year in Atlanta before graduating law school and cannot wait to do another in the coming year.
