How Emily Helps Clients
Emily concentrates her practice on a wide range of labor and employment matters.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Emily was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Samuel P. Murray at the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas where she drafted over fifty orders and opinions on criminal, civil, and orphans’ court matters.
During law school, Emily interned for Buchanan and two other law firms. She externed for the in-house legal teams at Louis Vuitton and David’s Bridal. Additionally, she worked as a certified legal intern at Villanova University’s Farmworker’s Legal Aid Clinic. Emily was the President of the Fashion Law Society and Vice President of the Labor and Employment Law Society.

Emily approaches her clients in a caring, driven, and strategic manner. She listens carefully to identify the best options for achieving her clients’ short and long term goals.
Outside the Office
Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking new recipes, and playing volleyball.
- Secured motion to dismiss in a breach of contract, fraudulent inducement and promissory estoppel case where the plaintiff employee tried to rely upon a verbal employment agreement and employee handbook as evidence of a contract for employment.
- Won motion to compel arbitration for corporate client in suit alleging racial discrimination and retaliation claims.
