Charlene Barker Gedeus, counsel in the firm's Labor & Employment section, is quoted in a Law360 article, "Drexel U. Escapes Fired Janitor's Disability Bias Suit" commenting on client Drexel University's win in a discrimination lawsuit.

Charlene A. Barker Gedeus, an attorney for Drexel, said in a phone interview Tuesday that the university had followed all the mandates of the FMLA, and echoed the judge's statement that Watson knew how to properly file her paperwork because she'd done so correctly in the past, as demonstrated by the periods of approved leave.

"If you're asking for leave from work, for a health condition that no one disputes, you have to follow the requirements under the mandates of the FMLA," Gedeus said.
