Cyntrena is a detail-oriented litigator with experience in federal employment law, labor relations, and civil rights litigation. In her prior role as counsel for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the federal government, Cyntrena defended the agency in numerous federal civil rights actions and constitutional claims filed against the federal government and its employees. Additionally, Cyntrena litigated mass tort claims filed against the federal government under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Cyntrena also litigated mass compassionate release and First Step Act Habeas petitions filed in federal district courts nationwide.

Cyntrena also defended the agency in federal employee labor disputes before arbitrators and administrative bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). Cyntrena advised agency senior leadership on complex disciplinary cases, employee grievances, labor-management relations, and prison administration matters. Additionally, Cyntrena has extensive experience handling discovery matters in both federal district court and administrative forums.

Outside the Office

Cyntrena is originally from Brooklyn, New York. When not working, Cyntrena enjoys trivia games, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, she enjoys watching sports and is a dedicated fan of the New York Knicks.
