In a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article published January 21, 2013, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Real Estate Shareholder Rebecca Livingston Lando and Graziano Construction and Development President Denise Pampena weighed in on women in construction law.

Lando, who recognized that universities, hospitals and banks are leading the way in terms of promoting women in law, stated, “There have been some strides made, but not huge movement in the amount of women in construction law.”

Pampena, who previously worked in private practice with Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling prior to its merger with Buchanan Ingersoll in 2006, also provided insight as a lawyer who has practiced various types of law and in both private practice and in-house.

She stated that her legal background has benefited her when she “addresses issues such as lending, permits and complex documents.” She added, “Our clients are getting more value from having my experience on the legal end."
