Buchanan obtained a dismissal with prejudice of the claims against a group of firm clients in the Auto Body Shop Antitrust Multidistrict Litigation pending in the Middle District of Florida. The defendants were sued for allegedly conspiring to suppress the reimbursement rate for collision repairs in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act and various states trade practices laws.

The case was one of over 30 cases in the MDL that together involved over 90 plaintiffs and over 50 defendants that were transferred to Florida for consolidation of pretrial issues. This was the first time the defendants had been represented by Buchanan. The multidistrict litigation continues since only a couple of cases have been dismissed with prejudice.

Buchanan Litigation Shareholder Calvin Hayes led the team, which included Ashley Trehan and Scott Richards.
