The series takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Room 2017 of the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh.

The Center on Race and Social Problems is part of the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work. Its mission is to conduct applied social science research on race, color and ethnicity and their influence on the quality of life for all Americans.

The final lecture in the series, "The Multiethnic Placement Act: Threat to Foster Child Safety and Well-being?," will be presented by David J. Herring, on Monday, December 1. Herring is a professor at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Law.
