Washington, D.C. – November 1, 2016 – The patent office litigation section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney launches the Buchanan PTAB Report, an online resource center that draws on proprietary content, research and legal insight to provide up-to-date information related to post-grant proceedings. The resource center is aimed at assisting in-house counsel as they work with outside attorneys to navigate through the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s (PTAB) complex and multi-step process.

"Even before the enactment of the America Invents Act (AIA), our patent office litigation team was on the forefront of analyzing and implementing patent strategies on behalf of a variety of clients. However, given how specialized the process has become, we understood the need our clients had for a centralized place where they could find crucial information and useful content to help them better understand post-grant proceedings, patent litigation as well as find updates about cases and USPTO rules," noted Todd R. Walters, patent office litigation practice chair.

The site contains PTAB resources; a downloadable library of guides and proceedings; rulings and regulations; blogs; advisories; United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) updates; events and more.

"We believe the resource center, coupled with our in-depth knowledge of patent litigation will be of great benefit to any individual inventor, startup, established university or corporation in preparation to challenge or defend their patent before the PTAB," added Walters.

Buchanan’s patent office litigation team handles post-grant proceedings before the PTAB and is comprised of seasoned attorneys with highly technical and scientific backgrounds who have many years of experience in adversarial proceedings before federal courts and agencies.
