Brittany’s practice focuses on trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. She works closely with brand owners to develop, grow, and protect their brands in the United States and abroad. As a former trademark examining attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Brittany has vast experience with trademark examination across a wide array of industries. She draws on that experience to provide clients with business-oriented strategies and practical advice throughout the trademark lifecycle, including the selection, clearance, filing, registration, and enforcement of trademarks. Brittany also has experience with resolving domain name disputes and leveraging the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to protect clients’ copyrighted content online. She has represented companies in various fields, including jewelry, apparel, pet care, software and technology, consumer products, as well as food and beverage. 

Brittany has been recognized as a 2026 Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in the area of Intellectual Property Law. 

Before joining Buchanan, Brittany was a trademark associate at another national law firm and also served as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
