Newark, NJ, February 14, 2011 — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney welcomes Linda Pissott Reig as a shareholder in its FDA / Biotechnology Practice. Reig was principal of her former New Jersey-based law firm and served as vice president of compliance services for its pharmaceutical services subsidiary.

"Buchanan's reputation for providing integrated FDA services—from pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry depth to a strong federal government relations team in D.C.—was a key reason for my move," says Reig. "My clients will benefit from the larger platform and complementary practices that Buchanan offers."

Edward John Allera, who chairs the firm's FDA Practice, says, "Linda's depth in the pharmaceutical industry and her extensive knowledge in the areas of marketing and selling FDA-regulated products mesh perfectly with our team's strengths." He adds, "her prominence in the New Jersey market also adds breadth to our practice, which includes mostly D.C.-based lawyers."

Reig is co-chair of the BioNJ Legal Forum Advisory Committee, which she was instrumental in forming in 2008.  The committee is comprised of in-house counsel and compliance representatives from top-ranking NJ-based biotechnology companies who discuss new legal developments and put together programs of interest to the NJ-based biotechnology community.  She has been recognized by New Jersey Law Journal in their annual “40 Under 40” list of attorneys, named in 2006-2008 among New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars and received an AV rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. She also received the Alumni Meritorious Service Award presented by Rutgers University.
