How Terry Helps Clients
Terry is relied upon by many equipment financiers and equipment lessors with respect to enforcing and foreclosing their rights under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); recovering equipment; conducting UCC sales and seeking deficiency money judgments should the sale of the equipment recovered not realize sufficient proceeds to discharge the underlying debt. Aside from UCC remedies, he prosecutes collateral recovery actions in state court and federal court (including bankruptcy court).
He has unique experience in the private and commercial aviation industry. Lenders in this industry trust his proactive and aggressive approach when recovering and disposing of business aviation collateral (both planes and helicopters), commercial aircraft engines and aircraft engine parts, components, tooling, equipment and machinery used by Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service providers in the aviation sector.
In addition to aviation assets, Terry has recovered and disposed of watercraft, barges, railcars, tractor trailers, mining and industrial equipment, specialized equipment, steel manufacturing equipment, road maintenance equipment, stone mining equipment, agricultural equipment, industrial cranes, recreational vehicles, automobiles and motorcycles.
Terry’s skill set includes collection actions and money judgment enforcement. He has a great deal of experience collecting consumer and non-consumer debt.
He regularly defends a national lender against consumer-related lender liability claims asserted in connection with residential mortgage foreclosures and automobile recovery actions, including claims under RESPA, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Truth-in-Lending Act, the Unfair or Deceptive Trade Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act among other federal and state consumer protection laws.
Terry also provides advice and counsel to garnishee banks in Pennsylvania.
What Clients Can Expect
Terry is a strong advocate for his clients and listens to their concerns. He takes the time to understand the business and legal issues involved, works toward practical, efficient solutions, and genuinely cares about his clients' success.
Clients can also expect “hyper-responsive” support. It's Terry's habit to respond to calls and emails within the same day.
Whether by workout or litigation, Terry’s clients get what they expect – a trusted partner.
I believe an attorney should be trusted, proactive and instructive. An attorney should help clients avoid problems before they happen. If problems do arise, I believe they should be dealt with swiftly and economically.
Outside the Office
When not working, Terry looks forward to being at home to spend time with his wife and their two sons. He holds a first-degree black belt in Kempo Karate and stays active with strength training and volunteer work for special needs children. Terry never misses a Steelers game.
