How Mason Helps Clients
Mason is a trusted advisor for clients with complex discovery matters. Through his decade of litigation experience, he understands how important e-discovery is when providing efficient and effective solutions for clients.
He counsels clients on e-discovery strategy, and develops plans based on best practices for data preservation. Mason consults with legal teams regarding their data retention practices and policies. He also consults with Information Technology departments and forensic experts to help IT professionals navigate legal requirements of data preservation and collection. At Buchanan, Mason manages the team of e-discovery professionals who organize document review, implements security, collections and chain of custody best practices, trains inside and outside stakeholders on software and legal issues related to e-discovery.
Before joining Buchanan, Mason led a team of junior e-discovery professionals and directly handled complex, large-scale e-discovery matters at an Am Law 50 law firm. He also has experience at an e-discovery vendor.
What Clients Can Expect
A true advisor for clients, Mason works collaboratively with in-house teams to be a resource and strategize to achieve effective, practical legal solutions in complex matters.
Litigation is stressful and highly sensitive material is usually at issue, so I work closely with clients to help put them at ease throughout the e-discovery process. Whether it is helping a client’s IT team understand the law involved in a matter or helping their in-house legal team understand the tech involved in a matter and anything in between, I am available to guide them through this process.
Outside the Office
Mason enjoys tinkering with anything electronic or mechanical. In particular, he is a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast.
