Mackenzie also assists clients involved with financial services in a wide variety of matters, including contractual disputes, deceptive trade practices, fraud, and other business tort claims. She has defended clients in actions alleging professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.

Mackenzie serves as co-chair of the Litigation Associate Training Program. In addition, she previously served on the Firm's Associate Committee.

What Clients Can Expect

Total immersion from the start. Mackenzie helps clients with high-stakes, complex litigation, and becomes fully entrenched in their business to understand her clients’ perspective and legal objectives. She relies on her experience and her complete understanding of the business to provide candid and practical advice to her clients, equipping them to avoid problems where possible and overcome the challenges they already face.

Outside the Office

Mackenzie is committed to giving back to the community. She dedicated time to pro bono representation on behalf of KidsVoice and clients of Neighborhood Legal Services and the McKees Rocks Legal Clinic. Mackenzie previously led Buchanan’s participation in the Custody Conciliation Project, a signature project of the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership.

Mackenzie previously served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank, which is the region’s first donor milk bank to serve the neonatal intensive care units and babies of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mackenzie grew up in State College, Pennsylvania. She resides in Mt. Lebanon with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
