William C. Basil concentrates his practice in commercial and real estate lending and public finance.
Will has extensive experience in real estate and commercial lending and has represented banks and other financial institutions in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. He has worked on a wide variety of development and construction financings and refinancings, including portfolio and syndicated loans, in connection with commercial and residential projects, such as retail centers, hotels office buildings, condominiums and single family housing developments.
In association with these projects, Will has assisted clients with workout and restructuring activities and worked to establish policies and procedures to deal with such activities.
Will has significant experience with a variety of bond financing programs, having previously served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel, trustee's counsel and credit enhancer's counsel for tax-exempt and taxable financings, with primary emphasis on multifamily housing projects.
