How Tom Helps Clients
Having spent the past decade as a Congressman, serving Florida’s 17th District, Tom is well-versed in the ins and outs of Washington, D.C., the federal appropriations process and how best to use his experience to help advance clients’ needs and interests.
During his tenure in Congress, Tom served on the House Appropriations Committee’s subcommittees on Agriculture, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and State and Foreign Operations and as a deputy majority whip. He was also a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and served as chairman of the Intelligence Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Intelligence Subcommittee on the NSA and Cybersecurity.
Prior to being elected, Tom worked as an assistant attorney general as well as the CEO of The Children’s Place at Home Safe, a home for abused and neglected children. Noting Tom’s interest and passion for assisting children, former Governor Bush appointed Tom to the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County Board of Directors.
During his time in Congress, Tom was a champion on behalf of Florida agriculture and livestock industries – which he continues to focus on in his new role.
