How Rob Helps Clients

Rob is an experienced litigator and has successfully represented clients throughout Pennsylvania and in courts across the country in matters involving employment discrimination, disability accommodation and medical leave, and hostile work environment claims, and has experience managing class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act and related state statutes. Rob manages claims from inception through resolution, and has secured dismissals of numerous claims at summary judgment and pleading stages, represented clients at trial and arbitration, and successfully upheld these rulings in the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Rob advises clients in employment and contracting matters, including the development of employment policies and decisions including hiring and firing, compensation, non-compete agreements and management.

What Clients Can Expect

Rob takes a detail-oriented and holistic approach to representing clients, identifying and addressing not only the critical issues before him, but working diligently to identify issues and concerns before they manifest as a problem for the client. Many claims arise from areas and concepts of law that are not immediately apparent or considered by existing policies and procedures. Rob works closely with clients to recognize these unexpected potential pitfalls and to develop practices that will protect their interests and best position them to avoid costly claims or litigation.  When litigation is required to defend or enforce a client’s rights, Rob takes this same detail-oriented approach to identify any argument or defense that may lead to success.

Outside the Office

Rob grew up in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Lynda, now live in the Pittsburgh area, where they try to keep up with their 3-year-old daughter.
