Tampa, FL – Rhea F. Law, CEO and Chair of the Board of Fowler White Boggs, has been named Chairperson of the University of South Florida's (USF) Health Professions Conferencing Corporation (HPCC) Board of Directors. Ms. Law was confirmed at the October 7, 2013 board meeting and her appointment is a four-year term.

The USF HPCC is a 501(c)3corporation which assists healthcare professionals with the development and maintenance of professional excellence through the ethical, innovative and efficient dissemination of knowledge and enhancement of skills required for clinical practice, research and education. The continuing education activities provided to USF faculty, alumni and healthcare professionals practicing throughout the state, nationally and internationally return support to USF departments, provide USF with international name recognition and generate profits for investment in innovative, high demand teaching models such as the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS), which opened its doors in February 2012.

CAMLS is a 90,000 SF facility, located in downtown Tampa, that is one of the world's largest centers for the assessment of individual and team competence. CAMLS is also one of Tampa's newest economic engines in that in the past year it brought over 14,000learners to Tampa, generated over 12,000 new room nights for local hotels and resulted in over $3 million in discretionary spending.

Ms. Law has more than 30 years' experience in government, environmental, administrative & land use representation.  Rhea's practice has grown to include representation of some of the largest mixed-use development projects in the State of Florida.  Her representation of developers, landowners, governments, businesses and industries has covered a full range of permitting, entitlement, approvals, and policy creation and implementation.
