How Pamela Helps Clients
As a member of the Labor Employment Immigration and Benefits (LEBI) section, Pamela advises and manages challenges of modern-day commerce for businesses globally, and delivers a full suite of employment litigation defense services for clients throughout California, including the greater Los Angeles area, Orange County, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Her experience includes commercial transactions for employers, contracts and handbooks, risk prevention advice and counseling, workplace training, analyzing privacy, investigations, and COVID-19 guidance. Before state and federal courts and employment-related agencies, she defends employers in all aspects of employment law, including single-plaintiff lawsuits and class actions involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, and government charges and investigations. She began defending businesses and advising on contemporary employment and labor law topics such as community - police relations, automation, and independent contractor status, over 10 years ago. Her traditional labor experience includes maneuvering the challenges of a multi-unit environment with evolving issues in technology such as artificial intelligence. Her litigation capabilities include ERISA and professional liability, where she utilizes specializations in tax, trusts, and estates to advise the financial services industry, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), and fiduciaries. Similar to the co-chair of Buchanan’s LEBI section, Pamela can serve as a de facto general counsel for clients, using the breadth of her experience to quarterback and manage litigation and risk for businesses.
Pamela was recognized by Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for 2024 in the area of Litigation – Labor and Employment. This is her third consecutive recognition.
What Clients Can Expect
Pamela provides a holistic defense, tapping into insight gained from the perspective of a client. She served multiple general counsels and in house, including a national carrier and the University of California Office of the President. From pre-litigation through trial and post-litigation compliance, at all stages of client engagement, she strategically advises to prevent risk and preserve client resources and energy.
With over two decades of combined academic study, professional experience, and community contributions emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusivity, I am uniquely equipped as an employment defense attorney to holistically defend against claims of discrimination without perpetuating historical, institutional, or systemic discrimination.

Pamela is learning golf, enjoys piano, and trained with one of the most decorated champion MMA fighters. She is grateful for three generations of her family who served in the U.S. Army.
